Data we collect
GridFire has no accounts, sign-in or analytics. Offline modes send nothing off your device.
Nickname and world leaderboard
On first launch you choose a nickname. Your nickname and best score are sent to our leaderboard service (hosted on Supabase) together with a random device identifier so your entry can be updated. The identifier is generated by the app and is not linked to your identity. You can change the nickname at any time from the title screen.
Online mode
If you choose Online play, your nickname, your room code and your in-match progress (lines cleared, win/loss) are sent to our multiplayer service (hosted on Supabase) so your opponent's device can see them. Rooms are deleted after the match or within a few hours. Nicknames are not linked to any account and no match history is stored on the server.
Data stored on your device
Your scores, achievements, unlocked skins, prestige rank and daily-reward streak are saved in the app's local storage on your device only. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
Advertising
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and coarse device information to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy. On iOS, GridFire asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any advertising identifier is used; if you decline, you still get ads, just not personalised ones. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time. Watching an optional rewarded ad grants an extra life; nothing else about you is shared.
Purchases
"Remove ads" is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify the purchase and restore it on your other devices; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user id and your purchase receipt, never your payment details.
Permissions
GridFire uses internet access (Online mode, fonts) and vibration for tap feedback. No other permissions are requested.
Children
Ads are configured for a general audience and the only purchase is the one-time ad removal. Online nicknames are free text; please do not use real names. No other personal information is collected from anyone, including children.
